1. Well-organized, dedicated computer system for day-to-day operations

In addition to the conventional paper files, we use a unique, well-organized computer system that allows easy access to various documents, at-one-sight-comprehension of case history and administration of day-to-day operations. Almost all documents related to our practice are digitized and registered with this system, enabling every staff to quickly locate any necessary document. It is also possible for our client to follow their case history and development in a simple manner.

In addition to this system, our office utilizes various software and hardware equipments to realize speedy and efficient services, including on-line filing of patent, utility-model, design and trademark applications with the Japanese Patent Office, on-line reception of and response to Office Actions, prior art search through various databases, computer-aided drawings and communications with our clients through secure networks.

2. Skills in strong and clear presentation and communication in English

We have full confidence in representing our clients in English. Through years of actual practice, office staffs have built good skills in English communication. Reading and writing hundreds of patent specifications in English, we have learned how to draft strong and effective patent documents in English. In addition, we have much experience in communication and correspondence with patent practitioners abroad, including reporting Office Actions, giving instructions for responses, and giving advices in good and clear English. You will not have any frustrating communication resulting from less than satisfactory command of English.

We can also provide technically accurate and adept English-to-Japanese and Japanese-to-English translations of patent specifications and other technical documents at a reasonable price. It is also possible for us to serve as your interpreter when you have a meeting, lecture or a seminar in Japan.
